This etching by Anders Zorn (1860-1920) is signed at the bottom right.
Anders Leonard Zorn (Mora, February 18, 1860 – there, August 22, 1920) was a Swedish painter, etcher and sculptor. He worked in a realistic style, often with clear influences from impressionism. Zorn studied at the Royal Academy of Art in Stockholm and, after completing his studies, undertook several trips across Europe. In the early 1880s he stayed for extended periods in Paris, and he also regularly visited countries such as England and Spain. In Sweden Zorn was a highly sought-after portrait painter. He portrayed, among others, King Oscar II, Queen Sophia and their children. Besides his portraits he gained international fame with his paintings of the female nude.
