Valeria Pesce’s original oil painting TRA LE ONDE (2021), a minimal, unframed work on a 24 x 19 cm wooden panel, signed by hand and featuring red, green, orange and white tones, produced in Spain and sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
AMONG THE WAVES
Minimalist oil painting on a wooden panel.
The fish are built with few brushstrokes and the water is suggested by the color of the background. The red fish I paint float lightly with their sinuous and elegant movements in a gravity-free, liquid sky. The fish, as a universal archetypal element, as a link between different worlds, as an expression of the flow of life and of emotions. Quick and fleeting like clouds and thoughts, they sometimes lose concreteness and suggest abstraction, embodying the delicate balance between serenity and vital impulse.
I am interested in the boundary between the real world and the surreal world of my ever-transforming aquatic landscapes.

ABOUT ME
Born in Italy, on the island of Sardinia, in 1963, after stints in New York to study graphic design and later in Milan, I moved to Barcelona in 1991 to work as a graphic designer and here I began my artistic career which over time has become my profession, my passion and above all a vital necessity.
I have held solo and group exhibitions in several European cities and my works are in various private collections around the world.
My work is deeply rooted in nature and human emotions; my main theme is water and fish, two visual universes that share a strong symbolic intensity. The fascination with the fluidity and dynamism of water acts as the guiding thread of my creations and symbolizes constant transformation.
