Glenfarclas Heritage Cask Strength with 60% volume in the 70 cl bottle
Glenfarclas Heritage Cask Strength was bottled in 2009 with 60% volume. This is a rare Glenfarclas single malt bottled at a natural cask strength of 60% for the Heritage Malt Collection. The Heritage range is published for a select number of markets.
The whisky matured in a combination of European oak first-fill sherry casks, European oak refill sherry casks and American oak refill casks.
Maturation cask type sherry. not chill-filtered without dyes.
Tasting
On the nose it is soft and fruity with notes of red fruits, sherry, cinnamon and spicy oak. With an alcohol content of 60%, the whisky is powerful with an oily palate and notes of chocolate, red fruits, coffee, tannic oak and spices.
The finish is equally intense with lots of fruit, chocolate and spices
