Description from the seller

Tineke Stoffels (Den Helder, 1957)

As long as I can remember I have felt the need to create. With paper, paint and brushes or textiles. In the garden with plants, in the kitchen with food, indoors with decorations. A long time ago my father gave me his old camera. Through this I discovered photography as the perfect medium. For me this means I can express myself in the ultimate combination of technology and design. Because I mainly think in images, the camera helps me visualize my ideas and thoughts. To achieve the result I have in mind I want to understand and master the technique to the fullest. I continue to experiment and make adjustments until I am satisfied. The use of light and shadow, the colors, the clothing but also the techniques appealed to me. In my studio I can fully concentrate on a new work. Placing all subjects in the right arrangement is very important and therefore very time-consuming. Viewers often wonder whether they are looking at a photo or a painting when confronted with my work; for me it is both.

I bought this work in 2019 from Bell-Gallery for my gallery/art loan. Recently it has come back from rental and I want to sell it now. The work is in perfect condition.
