Antique Japanese Imari pot – Meiji period (c. 1868–1912)
Beautiful hand-painted Japanese pot in the characteristic Imari style from the Meiji period. This decorative piece stands out immediately due to the rich color combination of deep cobalt blue, iron red and subtle accents in green and gold-tone shades.
The pot is refinedly decorated with floral motifs and traditional landscape elements, typical for export ware from this period. The balance between the bold blue lines and the detailed red painting gives the piece an elegant and lively appearance.
