Like two voices trying to make themselves heard at the same time. The deep blue feels calm, almost heavy – like thoughts that have lived in you for a long time. The yellow, by contrast, glows loud, pushes forward, like a feeling that cannot be held back any longer.

Between them there is no clear winner. They repel each other, overlap, clash – and it is exactly in that contest that their connection lies. It is like an inner dialogue: Reason meets impulse, calm meets energy, doubt meets hope.

"Blue against Yellow" tells of this tension inside us. Of moments when opposites do not have to be resolved, but may simply exist – side by side, against each other and yet inseparably connected.

Biography:
My name is Sandra Glaser and I live in Trofaiach in beautiful Styria, where I have created a lovingly furnished studio – a place where I can completely immerse myself in my colors, shapes, and thoughts.
Since childhood I have been fascinated by the world of art. This enthusiasm has never let me go – it accompanies me to this day and inspires me anew again and again. On travels and during visits to numerous exhibitions in Europe, I have been able to gather many artistic impressions that have shaped my view of painting.
My preferred form of expression is abstract acrylic painting on canvas. In my work I mainly deal with feelings, inner states, landscapes, and fantasy worlds. It is about making visible what cannot be said – emotions, moods, and interspaces that are often only expressed through color and movement.
I paint with passion. It is, for me, an intuitive process in which authenticity and depth are in the foreground. Each work is a piece of myself – an impulse, a memory, a look inward and outward at the same time.

For a painting with the dimensions 160 x 130 cm one needs a stretcher frame sized 150 x 120 cm and a depth of 2-4 cm.

You can either simply stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an artisan or gallery owner.

This is a handmade original, which the artist has signed on the back and dated.

High-quality and lightfast acrylic paints were used on multiple coats of white-primed gallery canvas.

A varnish was also applied to protect the work.
