Description from the seller

Wall mirror from the 1960s, in Vallauris enameled ceramic. Circular frame rhythmically formed by alternating triangular shapes, outlines in black, with yellow and brick-red enamels, on a deep green background with beautiful firing nuances. A graphic, sunny, modernist composition.

The aesthetics immediately evoke Mithé Espelt’s mural creations, as well as the collective work of Les Argonautes. It can also be linked to Roger Capron for geometric rigor, to Jean Derval for sculptural modeling, and to Robert Picault for the Mediterranean palette.

Beautiful textured material, vibrant enamels, strong presence on the wall. Original mirror with tin backing patina reinforcing the vintage charm. Modernist decorative piece, ideal for a mid-century interior.
