Description from the seller
Untitled, 1994
Mixed media on folded cardboard, 44 × 46 cm
Work archived at the Archivio delle Opere di Berlingeri (no. L 0201-1454)
The work belongs to the fully mature phase of Cesare Berlingeri's research, dated 1994, thus placeable in a period now historicized and recognized as central in the artist's trajectory, well distant from his more recent production.
The piece already clearly presents the distinctive elements of Berlingeri's language: the tension between surface and spatial construction, the fragmentation of the plane, and the dialogue between graphic mark and matter. The composition, articulated on overlapping and inclined elements, introduces a visual dynamic that anticipates the subsequent more structured evolutions of his poetics.
The work is archived, a factor that ensures its authenticity and full marketability, making it readily usable in collector and auction contexts.
Presented in an elegant frame with a strongly contrasting red mat, which effectively enhances the black-and-white of the composition and amplifies its visual presence. The frame, of good quality, further contributes to the usability of the work and represents an added value from a display perspective.
Overall, a significant work for dating and linguistic coherence, interesting both for collectors already oriented toward the artist and for those intending to approach a historical phase of his production.
