In this work, Cubism becomes a means to translate an emotional experience. The figure of the musician emerges as a construction of planes that decompose and reorganize the body and face, allowing a simultaneous reading of different facets of the subject. There is not a single perspective, but an overlay of gazes that reveal an inner state.
The guitar acts as structural and symbolic axis. It is not merely an instrument, but an extension of the body itself, a channel through which emotion is articulated. The gesture of playing is not presented as action, but as necessity: a way to process what cannot be said.
Elements of the surrounding environment, such as the wine or the table, do not function as mere accessories, but as anchors of the everyday that contrast with the intensity of the moment. This tension between the intimate and the ordinary reinforces the sense of a suspended scene, where time seems to dilate.
Color intensifies this emotional climate. Warm tones, charged with energy, coexist with cooler areas that stabilize the composition, generating a dynamic balance that sustains the image. This chromatic relationship acts as a visual equivalent of sound: rhythm, pause, and resonance.
“Touch to Forget” does not describe a musician, but a state of introspection. In this fragmentation, Cubism ceases to be merely a formal structure and becomes a language capable of expressing the invisible: the attempt to transform emotion into sound and sound into silence.
