Ready to Hang: Selection of Post-War Art 

Licensed in Fine Arts by the San Fernando Faculty in Madrid, Antonio Escobar was awarded in 1978 by the Hispano–North American Joint Committee for Educational and Cultural Affairs to undertake an etching course at the prestigious Pratt Graphics Center in New York.
He has held solo and group exhibitions at International Fairs and in galleries in the United States and Europe.
Of Antonio Escobar, for example, José Hierro wrote: “He has, ‘hand’, a painter’s biology. For that reason and because of his authenticity, he turns each painting into a whirlwind of questions posed by the stroke of the brush.”
Between 2004 and 2008 he chaired the J. William Fulbright Students Association of Spain.

Licenciado en Bellas Artes por la Facultad de San Fernando de Madrid, Antonio Escobar fue becado en 1978 por el Comité Conjunto Hispano-Norteamericano para Asuntos Educativos y Culturales para realizar un curso de grabado en el prestigioso Pratt Graphics Center, de Nueva York.
Ha realizado exposiciones individuales y colectivas en Ferias Internacionales y galerías de los Estados Unidos y Europa. 
De Antonio Escobar ha escrito, por ejemplo, José Hierro: “Tiene, ‘mano’, biología de pintor. Por eso y por su autenticidad, convierte cada cuadro en un torbellino de preguntas formuladas a golpe de pincel”.
Entre 2004 y 2008 presidió la Asociación de alumnos J. William FullBrigth de España.
