Enzo Miceli - Papillon Inspired

I sought in this work the evident contrasts between the subject’s physicality, inspired precisely by Papillon, and the lightness of a butterfly that lands delicately on his thigh. It is a moment dense with thoughts and reflections of a man who is not free, and in the distance, the sea beyond, which, by contrast, is a synonym of freedom and vast spaces. The tattoo on the arm balances the weight of the composition, opposing the butterfly on the thigh.
