Strathisla 1954 - Gordon & MacPhail - b. 2013 - 70cl

Distilled on May 1954 at the Strathisla Distillery in Speyside, this single malt Scotch whisky was matured for 59 years before being bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 2013.
The whisky was drawn from first-fill sherry butt cask #907 and bottled at 43% ABV in a 700 ml bottle.
Long maturation in sherry wood contributed to a flavour profile associated with dried fruit, oak and dark chocolate notes.
Strathisla, founded in 1786 in Keith, Moray, is one of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in the Scottish Highlands.
Bottlings from this vintage are released in limited quantities and are of interest to collectors of mature Speyside single malts.
