Stefania Ormas, In my Incubus (Brandon Boyd), acrylic painting on 100 x 70 cm surface, 2006, original edition, hand-signed, in excellent condition; a Pop Art work depicting culture pop, Italy, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
Stefania Ormas's work presents itself as a vibrant and deeply personal tribute to Brandon Boyd, frontman of the band Incubus. Through the use of acrylic on a generously sized surface (70x100 cm), the artist does not settle for a mere photographic reproduction, but seeks to capture the subject's charismatic and almost shamanic essence. Boyd's face is rendered with a direct and penetrating gaze. The painter manages to convey that duality typical of the singer: a rebellious strength mixed with introspective sensitivity. The title "In my Incubus" suggests an intimate connection between the artist and musical inspiration, turning fanaticism into a creative act that "possesses" the image. Stefania Ormas, Italian painter, trained in painting at the International Art School in Terni, in recent years has exhibited in several solo and group shows both in Italy and abroad, such as: Casa de la Cultura in Navacerrada, Madrid; Palazzo del Infantado in Guadalajara; Museo Reina Sofía - Madrid; RED03 Gallery in Barcelona; Galeria Bernet in Barcelona; Roccartgallery in Florence. Her works are present in private collections in Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, America, Taiwan and in public collections such as the municipality of Gata de Gorgos in Spain. Her artistic research centers on exploring the female figure and its deep bond with nature, music, and cultural traditions.
