KIRAS - "DESIDERO" POPME!

“I Desire POPME!” is an explosion of desire, a pop gesture that becomes a declaration. The lips, in a velvety fuchsia that seems to absorb and return light like precious fabric, rise from the wall with a soft, sensual, almost tactile presence. The velvet effect creates a deep, vibrant surface that changes with the lighting and makes the work alive, pulsating, magnetic.

The absolute peculiarity of this sculpture lies in its structure: the mouth and the comic balloon “POP me!” are one single piece, a compact body that unites gesture and word, form and message. The balloon is made with mosaic tesserae, a technique that adds rhythm, texture, and a play of micro-reflections that amplifies the energy of the work. Each tile catches the light differently, creating a dynamic and surprising effect.

The work is born in 3D-printed bioplastic, a plant-based material chosen for its sustainability and for its ability to transform, through lengthy manual processing, into a perfectly refined surface. The mouth is hand-flocked, applying the velvet effect evenly and impeccably, an artisanal process that requires precision, care, and a material sensitivity that is an integral part of KIRAS’s language.

The edition is limited to only 10 pieces, a choice that underscores the exclusivity of the work and ensures that each piece is truly followed by the artist in every stage of the process. Those who purchase it bring home a rare, precious object, almost unique.
