Marcel de With (born 1964), Figure, executed in spray paint and mixed technique, is a limited edition street art portrait, 40 by 50 cm, from the Netherlands, dating 2000–2010, hand-signed, in good condition, sold by Galerie.
Description from the seller
Marcel de With was born on September 26, 1964 in Sneek, but has lived and worked in Heerenveen his whole life. In 1990 he pursued in Amsterdam the training in reproductive photography with the Association of Light Printers and Reproductive Photographers.
Painting runs in his family: his father also painted. Since 2004 he has been active as a painter and from the start has been successful, both with commissioned work and with his own paintings. His style is characterized by vibrant colors, warmth, and a cheerful presence. Women are often his main subject: traditionally rendered, but always with a raw, contemporary twist. “It must be rough and directly painted, a fusion of past and present,” says Marcel.
For his work he uses acrylic paint, spray paint, oil pastel, and stencils, which he applies in mixed techniques on the canvas.
