About
Marino Marini (1901–1980) was one of the most important Italian artists of the 20th century. He became famous especially for his expressive depictions of riders and horses (“Cavallo e Cavaliere”), which have become icons of modern sculpture.
In addition to his sculptural work, Marini created an extensive graphic oeuvre characterized by reduced formal language and strong expressiveness. His works are today represented in international museums and in high demand on the art market.
