Description from the seller
A lion rests on a rocky promontory overlooking a tumultuous world — dust storms, galloping riders, the savannah swallowed by golden chaos. He does not watch the commotion. He has already cut through it. The composition is operatic in its grandeur, reminiscent of the great tradition of animal romantic painting — Géricault, Delacroix — but filtered through the digital pictorial language and the characteristic distressed look of Le Yack.
Golden scratches cross the surface like the marks of time on an old canvas. At the bottom, humanity stirs. At the top, the king is still.
