This painting presents an urban scene full of character that seems to transport us to a tranquil corner of a historic town. The composition develops under a colonnaded structure formed by large stone arches stretching along the foreground, creating a strong sense of depth and perspective. These arches support a wooden roof that casts soft shadows on the ground, contributing to an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Through the openings between the pillars, the facades of several houses around the square can be glimpsed, suggesting a daily environment where traditional architecture dominates the landscape.

The stone columns are one of the most important elements of the scene. Their solid presence and robust shape provide visual stability to the composition, while the repetition of the arches creates a rhythm that guides the viewer’s gaze toward the back of the space.
