The French pop-culture artist Invader infiltrated the art scene in the 1990s. Although it took some time before he received recognition for his early work, his creations are now visible on buildings in more than 30 countries and 60 cities. The modern art image of Invader is made up of pixelated characters inspired by 1970s and 1980s video games such as Space Invaders and Pac-Man.
