Description from the seller
Ignacio Guibert Amor (1916–1992)
Interesting landscape signed by Ignacio Guibert Amor (1916–1992), in which the artist depicts a tranquil wooded setting presided over by a column or vertical monument, integrated into a serene and evocative promenade-like space.
The composition stands out for its delicate atmosphere, built from a soft, filtered light that threads between the bare trunks, creating a sense of depth and silence very successfully achieved. The central monument acts as the visual axis of the scene, balancing the arrangement of the trees and providing an architectural point of reference within the landscape.
The palette, dominated by subdued greens, ochres, earth tones and luminous grays, transmits a sense of calm and recollection, typical of landscapes of the cold season or of the early hours of the day. The brushwork, loose but controlled, effectively suggests both the vibrancy of the foliage below and the rhythmic verticality of the trees, in a painting where atmosphere prevails over anecdotal detail.
The work reveals a naturalistic landscape sensibility, with special attention to light, spatial depth and compositional balance. In it one can appreciate a sober and elegant pictorial language, representative of 20th-century Spanish landscape painting.
Signed in the lower right corner, the piece also preserves a small identifying plate with the artist's name on the frame. The overall presentation has a notable decorative presence, suitable for both collection and interior ambience.
The frame shows wear and signs of use appropriate to the passage of time, and it will be sent as a gift along with the work.
The images are part of the description.
