Baigneuses - NO RESERVE is an original oil painting by the Spanish School from 1980–1990, measuring 29 × 29 cm, origin Spain, in a frame and sold by Galería.
Description from the seller
Oil. Spanish school of the 20th century.
Scene of bathers. Signature illegible.
Interesting figurative composition from the 20th-century Spanish school, representing a group of bathers in the water through a synthetic, spontaneous visual language with a distinctly modern intention. The scene is resolved with a notable simplification of forms, discarding anatomical detail in favor of a direct, fresh image with strong visual impact.
From a stylistic point of view, the work can be placed within a modernist-leaning figurative approach, close to the cultivated naïf and decorative expressionism, where broad fields of color, dark outlines structuring the figures, and a composition built from well-balanced chromatic masses predominate. The artist does not seek meticulous naturalism but a free, sensitive interpretation of the scene, focused on atmosphere, compositional rhythm, and the harmony of the whole.
Specially notable is the soft, luminous palette, articulated in ranges of blues, greens, pinks, and reds, which gives the work a sense of serenity and a summery evocation. The figures, with deliberately schematic features, reinforce the contemporary character of the composition and its decorative appeal.
This is a painting of notable visual freshness, very agreeable as a whole, linking to a certain tradition of intimate and genre painting reinterpreted through modern codes, where the everyday motif is transformed into a poetic and synthetic image.
Signature illegible.
The work is presented in a frame, which will be sent as a gift.
