Postupa Ladislav - Mongolfiera II

Ladislav Postupa, a prominent Czech photographer, was born in 1929 in Náchod and died in 2016. His work shows the influence of contemporary structuralism, as well as elements of surrealism and dadaism. In free photography, he depicted objects taken out of their usual context, transforming reality into new images, sometimes combined with the female nude. He created imaginative images close to art informel, and also devoted himself to graphics created with photographic technology. His works are represented, for example, in the collections of UPM Prague, Victoria and Albert Museum London, Maison Européenne audiovisuel de la Photographie Paris, Bibliotheque nationale de France Paris, The Art Institute of Chicago.
