Biography:
Daniela Scanu, born in Brescia in 1976, since childhood she displayed a pronounced creative talent that led her to study fashion and drawing; she attended the Ipsia Fortuny Institute in Brescia, earning a diploma as a stylist and costume designer.
Subsequently, she did not continue in the fashion sector, but pursued sports studies, which allowed her to become an international judge of pole sport and a sports instructor.
She taught for many years at sports centers and dance schools: pole sport, aerial hoop, yoga, Caribbean dances, Eastern dances, ballroom dancing, yoga.
Thanks to her great tenacity and determination she achieved excellent results as an international athlete.
Among the most important, we recall:
- 1st place in Tortosa, Spain at the WSG 2019,
- 2nd place in Finland at the Championship 2019.
But her true vocation remains the art of photography, that silent love which, thanks to dance and sport, she continues to cultivate, delving specifically into artistic nude, portraiture, and conceptual photography.
Daniela Scanu’s photographic world is capable of surprising and enchanting the viewer; her particular sensitivity and powerful expressive sense achieve a strong convergence between artistic photography and painting and sculpture.
The ability to translate a body into universal iconography through which personal emotions and introspection travel.
The human body becomes the vehicle for transporting the soul, an expression of pain, but also of great inner rebirth.
