LA SILLA is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. This work is a transit scene, a space suspended between rooms, between presences, between moments. The human figure has disappeared, but its trace remains: the chair, centered and silent, becomes the witness of what has just happened or is about to happen.

The composition is built from thresholds. Open doors that not only connect physical spaces, but also states: the near and the far, the intimate and the unknown. The intense yellow of the main door acts as a focal point of light, almost like an irradiation that invades the scene and contrasts with the pinkish and green tones of the background. The black chair, with simple lines, introduces a pause in the midst of that chromatic vibration.
