Vova Titov is an Estonian born artist with a degree in interior design from the prestigious Herzen University in St. Petersburg. His paintings, sculptures and drawings are all one of a kind, hand-crafted and have been sold internationally, with some making their way into the homes of Hollywood directors. His art is represented by the Saatchi Gallery, with regular auctions on Catawiki.

"Night over the city" A monumental panel made of solid wood, created using the assemblage technique. Cross-sections of beams of varying cross-sections are arranged in a dense geometric rhythm, like a bird's-eye view of a city, like a plan of an industrial district, or like a page of musical score.
A single black coating unites the disparate fragments into a coherent image, while the natural annual rings of each section remain vibrant and legible a natural organic element within a strict industrial form. The play of relief creates dynamic chiaroscuro, changing depending on the angle of illumination.
The raw material is elevated to the level of sculpture without embellishment, by the sheer force of composition. Suitable for interiors: loft, minimalist, industrial, modern office, gallery space.
