Quote: My work tries to establish a connection with the primitive brain; I work with gestures and intuition
The work is delivered unframed (professional packaging, rolled in a tube).
The given dimensions refer to the stretched and framed painting (the actual canvas dimensions are larger so that it can be mounted on a frame with a width of 3.5 cm or less).
On the back hand-signed.
Description of the work “The Chosen”
The painting is based on free improvisation. Action painting with music by Dominique Fils-Aimé.
Ideas from films like “Prometheus,” “Planet of the Apes,” or “2001: A Space Odyssey” play and mingle.
A humanoid from the future arrives on prebiotic Earth and spreads his genetic material to create life. He watches the ape and selects him as a development. But this ape does not want to be like humans; he has his own rules...
Nature, city, antiquity, modernity... beings, lost in worlds that are not their own.
Everything went through the filter of a dream and built itself on a wall in a big city, marked by graffiti and the passage of time.
Gestural, intuitive painting that lets things happen and relies on what appears. Take advantage of the accident and accept the consequences.
The unknown, slipping through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual.
The need to tell stories, leave traces, understand the world that is always modern and old.
Nothing is important... work with an empty gaze...
