Description from the seller
Oil painting by Antoni Sala Herrero (1927 - 2012, Barcelona). He was a Spanish painter specialized in marine and harbor landscapes. In 1967 he held his first exhibition in Figueras. His work is characterized by luminous, colorful atmospheres with an impressionist style. He regularly exhibited in Salas and galleries in Barcelona and other Catalan towns. He won important awards such as the Vila de Palamós (1969) and the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts of Paris (1983). His work includes landscapes of the Costa Brava and Mediterranean views with oils on canvas, highly valued in the art market. The wood of the frame is solid but somewhat discolored with the passage of time and a dent of about 1 centimeter at the top, easily repairable. Some rust spots in the fabric-covered area between the frame and the painting.
