Description from the seller
The work emerges from an intimate territory of emotions, crystallizing into a sculpture that condenses presence and sensitivity. Each angle reveals a nuance of beauty. By contemplating it, the space becomes imbued with a subtle, almost latent energy; an invitation to experience life with intensity, contemplation, and strength.
Sculpture made from 3mm-thick steel sheets, combined in an inspiring way.
Finished with an oil finish.
Attached is the certificate of authenticity.
Fern is the pseudonym used by the sculptor Clavo and the sculptor Carmen Lop when they work together.
Both artists work metal forging, primarily iron and steel.
The techniques they employ are, above all, forging and welding.
Their styles span from figurative to abstract, including pop art.
They attach great importance to technique and craftsmanship as the foundation for creating a good sculpture.
They have participated in numerous exhibitions, both group and solo, mainly at the national level.
They have received awards separately, among which are the “Premio de Escultura Urbana Ciudad de Ávila” in 2006 and the “Memorial a las Víctimas de la Violencia Machista” in Zaragoza in 2016.
They admire Spanish sculptors such as Martín Chirino, Jorge Oteiza, Eduardo Chillida, or Julio González.
