Montblanc Bohème Doué Ligne Ballpoint pen, made in Germany, from the early 20th century, with a body of precious resin and gold-plated trim, serial number VR3013944, length 12 cm and diameter 1.2 cm, in working order.
Description from the seller
In this section we present an authentic jewel of writing, where fine leatherwork meets the art of jewelry: the Montblanc Bohème Doué Ligne Ballpoint. The Bohème collection is renowned for its elegant proportions and design that nods to the world of jewelry. In the 2026 market, the “Doué” variants (that is, with contrasting materials between the barrel and cap) are particularly sought after by collectors for their rarity and aesthetic refinement.
The design of this "Doué Ligne" is a masterpiece of visual and tactile balance. The barrel is characterized by refined processing with vertical engravings (Ligne) on a dark background, which provides a secure grip and a play of light that is exceedingly sophisticated. To provide contrast, the cap, the cone, and the metal finishes are gold-plated in warm champagne/rose tones, mirror-polished. The real surprise, however, is the clip: set with a splendid synthetic Citrine-colored stone (amber-yellow), cut in a baguette shape, which endows the instrument with a warm, unmistakable glow, making it a true luxury accessory.
The specimen is configured as a Ballpoint Pen, actuated by a smooth twist mechanism. The macro photographs of the disassembled piece confirm the integrity of the internal block and the clean threading. The crown of the cap is topped with the classic Montblanc white star, inlaid flush, while the upper ring bears the warranty engravings (serial number and origin inscription).
The condition is Very Good: used with care and with slight signs of wear. As is normal for mirror-polished metals, the smooth gold surfaces show very light, superficial micro-scratches (hairlines) due to normal friction, almost invisible to the naked eye and not affecting the plating. The barrel and the stone are immaculate. This is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a Bohème that is out of the classical standards, perfect for those who love to stand out with style.
