Some of Lucien Frank's works are preserved and exhibited at the Royal Museums of Belgium. Automne was donated by the artist himself to the museum in 1914, and the same applies to the painting Quai des pêcheurs in Ostend, as well as other works.
He was moreover the first Belgian painter to exhibit at the Louvre in Paris, and King Albert I of Belgium was one of his patrons.
