Black Stile N65

The composition is interrupted by a dense horizontal threshold—an understated rupture that divides weight and atmosphere, grounding the piece while allowing the upper plane to breathe.

Light is not evident at first glance, yet it is essential. It moves across the surface in a restrained way, activating hidden tonal transitions within the black. Depending on the angle, the work shifts between deep absorption and soft reflective traces, revealing a living skin that never remains static. The vertical gradients create a sense of suspended motion, almost imperceptible, as if the canvas were slowly exhaling.

The lower band, heavier and more material, behaves like a compressed layer of energy.
