Le Yack - Red Neon Diner - Hand signed

An abandoned American diner, black-and-white checkerboard tiles, blue chipped walls, rusted pipes. On a Formica table, a woman in pink lingerie arches backward in a pose that defies physics, head tipped back, eyes closed. From the ceiling, a partially visible red neon bathes everything in hellish, seductive light.

Le Yack places a figure of grace in a space of decay and explains nothing. The tension between the beauty of an arched body and the industrial ugliness of the setting is the real subject of the painting. The red glow of the neon reflected on the water-soaked floor adds a dreamlike dimension — is it real? Is it a dream? The answer changes nothing about the beauty of the question.

Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ESAD) in Orléans. Former art director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45. He is exhibited in a network of some forty galleries in France, Germany, Belgium, United States.
