Description from the seller
TEA CUP is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this work, a minimal gesture —a cup served on a table— becomes an exercise in contemplation and delicacy. The scene is reduced to a few elements, but each of them seems arranged with nearly ceremonial precision: the florid porcelain, the loose petals, the small dark fruits, and the pinkish surface that holds the whole as if it were a mantel of light.
The green background, broad and silent, creates a pause that allows the gaze to rest. In front of it, the lateral orange and the intense pink of the table introduce a warm vibrancy that envelops the composition in a balance between freshness and intimacy. The cup is not just a utilitarian object, but the emotional center of a domestic scene where time seems suspended.
The flowers scattered around break the rigidity of the classical still life and bring a sense of spontaneity, as if nature had gently invaded the daily ritual. The blueberries and small berries add dark accents that dot the surface and reinforce the chromatic refinement of the set. Everything in the painting speaks of a private moment: the table set for one person, the silence of a morning or a paused afternoon.
“Té Cup” is a celebration of the small and the intimate. A piece that transforms a simple domestic pause into an image of tranquil sophistication, where color, porcelain, and flower coexist as if belonging to the same breath.
