Ermanno Barovero was born in Turin in 1956. After his high school diploma in 1974, he completed his studies in 1978 at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, where, for decades, he taught the chair of Printmaking Techniques.
He began exhibiting in 1975. In 1978 he won the prize "Giacomo Grosso e Felice Casorati" from the Cassa di Risparmio di Torino and the Silver Virgilio at the Lubiam Award in Sabbianeta...
