Rafa López presents a 2024 mixed‑media wooden sculpture titled Green Into the Pop, measuring 32 by 25 cm with a 2 cm depth, finished in polychromed wood, signed by hand and sold directly from the artist with its wooden base and a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
In "Green into the pop", Rafa López translates his vibrant pictorial universe into three dimensions, exploring sculpture as an extension of his habitual grafismos. This piece breaks the boundaries of the canvas to invade physical space, turning color and form into a tangible object that dialogues with the viewer from every angle.
Analysis of the work:
The sculpture presents itself as a living organism of Pop Surrealist aesthetics. Its organic silhouette, perforated by voids that allow light and air to pass through, recalls the biomorphic forms of modernity, but reinterpreted under a contemporary and urban language. The use of thick black lines to delineate the color fields gives the piece a very strong graphic character, almost as if a drawing had come to life and volume.
Technically, the work is a masterclass in mixed-media technique on wood. The artist uses graduations of greens and circular shapes to create a sense of depth and relief on the flat surface of the wood. The natural wooden base not only serves as support but establishes an organic contrast with the artificial color explosion of the upper part, reinforcing the piece’s identity as an object of artistic desire.
Logistics and shipping:
The work is delivered mounted on its original wooden base.
It is carefully packaged with bubble wrap and a high-strength cardboard box to guarantee its integrity during transport.
Hand-signed on the lower left edge and on the back. Includes artist’s certificate of authenticity.
About the artist:
Rafa López (Spain) is a visual artist with a consolidated national and international trajectory. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Seville.
