Biography of Tran Thị Huyền Trân
( Vietnamese painter – Contemporary acrylic )
Tran Thị Huyền Trân, born December 27, 1992, is a contemporary painter from Quảng Trị, a region near Huế in central Vietnam. This land, shaped by history, imperial culture, and the poetic beauty of landscapes, has deeply influenced her artistic sensibility.
From a young age, she developed a fascination with color, material, and movement. Self-taught and later trained at several Vietnamese studios, she gradually built a vibrant, energetic, and distinctly modern style.
Her works are distinguished by paint drips, dynamic overlays, generous textures, and a vivid palette where red, blue, yellow, and green converse. Each canvas is an explosion of vitality, a spontaneous visual language oscillating between lyrical abstraction and colorful expressionism.
Based today in Ho Chi Minh City, Tran Thị Huyền Trân has established herself as one of the most promising emerging artists on Vietnam’s new scene.
There, she mainly exhibits at Artis Art Gallery, where her acrylic on canvas paintings meet an international audience, attracted by the emotional power and the authenticity of her touch.
Her creations are perceived as a bridge between traditional Vietnamese culture—characterized by gentleness, harmony, and spirituality—and bold, raw, almost instinctive modernity.
Through her works, the artist explores themes of inner energy, memory, imaginary landscapes, and the perpetual motion of life.
Today, Tran Thị Huyền Trân continues her artistic development with a clear ambition: to make Vietnamese contemporary art shine beyond borders by offering painting that is free, vibrant, accessible, and profoundly human.
