Biography of Tran Thị Huyền Trân
(Vietnamese painter – Contemporary acrylic)
Tran Thị Huyền Trân, born December 27, 1992, is a contemporary painter from Quảng Trị, a region near Huế in central Vietnam. This land, marked by history, imperial culture, and the poetic beauty of landscapes, has profoundly influenced her artistic sensibility.
From a young age, she developed a fascination with color, material, and movement. Self-taught and later trained at several Vietnamese studios, she gradually built a vibrant, energetic, and distinctly modern style.
Her works are distinguished by flowing paint, dynamic overlays, generous textures, and a vivid palette where red, blue, yellow, and green dialogue. Each canvas is an explosion of vitality, a spontaneous visual language oscillating between lyrical abstraction and colorful expressionism.
Now based in Ho Chi Minh City, Tran Thị Huyền Trân has established herself as one of the most promising emerging artists on Vietnam’s new scene. She primarily exhibits at Artis Art Gallery, where her acrylic paintings on canvas reach an international audience, drawn by the emotional intensity and authenticity of her gesture.
Her creations are seen as a bridge between traditional Vietnamese artistry—imbued with gentleness, harmony, and spirituality—and bold, raw, almost instinctive modernity.
Through her works, the artist explores themes of inner energy, memory, imagined landscapes, and the perpetual movement of life.
Today, Tran Thị Huyền Trân continues her artistic development with a clear ambition: to illuminate Vietnamese contemporary art beyond borders by offering painting that is free, vibrant, accessible, and deeply human.
