The nature of the technique I use makes every piece in the series a unique, unrepeatable work. The final piece may vary slightly in size and texture from the photos and the text.
The work consists of a pyramidal prism, interrupted three-quarters by a hollow portion. I consider this work a vindication of the Self against the twists of existence, but also an innate longing upwards. Toward a metamorphosis of form into pure energy. Matter that becomes spirit. The hollow portion that interrupts the race of the form toward the summit is characterized as a set of parts that, unused, remain imprinted as empty traces of past experiences; the gears fossilized in the matter emphasize the concept of past mechanics and dynamics now useless.
