Anton Heyboer, Danseres, a mixed media abstract original work from 1980–1990, sold with frame, measuring 45 × 35 cm.
Description from the seller
Due to his unusual lifestyle, Anton Heyboer belonged to the most eccentric Dutch artists of the past decades. His turbulent lifestyle manifested in five marriages. He also described himself as 'the Robin Hood of the art world,' referring to his high rate of artistic production. Heyboer was trained as a mechanical engineer. After World War II he began drawing, albeit still in a traditional style. Between 1954 and 1957 he developed his own philosophical framework on the basis of which his abstract artworks emerged. Yet there are always figurative elements present in his paintings and engravings. Furthermore, Heyboer clarified the themes of his work with texts, in which human relationships often play a role.
Dimensions: 26 x 19 cm
Dimensions with frame: 45 x 35 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. We also make use of restorers from the industry association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, of course we would be happy to hear from you.
