About
Marino Marini (1901–1980) was one of the most important Italian artists of the 20th century. He became famous especially for his expressive depictions of riders and horses (“Cavallo e Cavaliere”), which have become icons of modern sculpture.
Besides his plastic work, Marini created an extensive drawn oeuvre, characterized by a reduced formal language and strong expressiveness. His works are today represented in international museums and in high demand on the art market.
