DESCRIPTION
Elegant antique Swiss pocket watch produced by Tavannes Watch Co., dating to the early decades of the 20th century (circa 1910–1920).
This refined timepiece features a white enamel dial with clearly defined black Arabic numerals and a small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock. The original hands, finely worked, confer great elegance and authenticity to the piece.
The case is made of solid silver, fineness 0.800, as indicated by the hallmark visible inside. It is a double-opening case (double hunter), operable both front and back, a feature highly appreciated by collectors.
The interior of the case is signed “Tavannes Watch Co.” and is decorated with refined medallion motifs. The outer case back features guilloché work with a central cartouche.
