Luis Alberto Wells (1939-2023) was a prominent Argentine visual artist, pioneer of the Informalism Movement (1959) and renowned for his "Roofs" and "Toys." He explored painting, sculpture, and design, with an aesthetic that integrated discarded materials. He resided in London and New York, winning the Di Tella Prize (1965) and the Konex (1982).

Informalismo Movement: Founder of the movement in Argentina (1959) together with Alberto Greco, Mario Pucciarelli and Juan del Prete.
