This work belongs to a series based on iconic portraits. I have called it: Syncretisms. A name that refers to my Caribbean and European influences.

It is an appropriation of the work: Lady with an Ermine, by Leonardo da Vinci, and an exercise or excuse for this new path in my work. Here the aim is to stylize and simplify.

The background is reduced to a flat color blot, the clothing is synthesized in the same way or resolved in an abstract manner in the manner of Egon Schiele.

The face and other elements of the figures are made with textures that grant movement to the character and create a harmony of opposites; the drawing is simplified.

There is recognizable expressionist-influenced figuration.

Note: Because it is a large format (XXL) and for its own protection, the work is shipped unstretched, rolled inside a tube with approximate total dimensions of 136x116x0.5 cm.
