This work in the format 80 × 80 × 4.5 cm is created on a broad, high-quality canvas and moves between painting and sculpture.
In the light the surface reveals a clear presence. Depending on the incidence of light and viewing angle, structure and depth change, individual layers become more pronounced. The work appears spatial and physical – perception arises as you walk, stand, and linger.
Frequency NEON UMBER — Sculpture of light, structure & presence
Frequency NEON UMBER is inspired by sound and frequency. From my work as a pianist I translate rhythm, pause, and repetition into a visual structure. The composition follows a reduced order. Repetitions create tensions comparable to held notes, while subtle color shifts mark transitions.
Artwork details:
Title: Frequency NEON UMBER
Size: 80 × 80 cm × 4.5 cm
Technique & materials: Acrylic paint and Heavy-Gel texture paste on canvas, built up layer by layer with different spatulas. The pigments form elevations and overlaps with a calm, pulsating tension.
Only high-quality materials are used: Amsterdam Expert acrylic paints, Liquitex texture pastes – all locally produced in Austria.
Frame: Wide support frame made of solid natural wood (included in the price).
(Black decorative frame not included)
Images: The images were photographed under professional studio lighting. Light is essential for the color play of the works. The artist recommends placing the works under direct or indirect light to bring the color play to full effect and to make the pieces appear alive.
To foster a better understanding of the works and the interplay of light, I encourage buyers to watch the videos of the different works on Instagram at @sarah.schwarzl.art.
Signature & authenticity: Hand-signed on the back. Delivery with a signed certificate of authenticity.
Location: Directly from the artist’s studio in Vienna.
Market presence: Comparable works are in private collections and galleries in the price range of €2,500 – €3,000.
