Of impressionist and expressionist tradition, bent toward a more intimate and symbolic aim, where the landscape is not merely environment but matrix, indeed origin, and the figure is not merely placed within it but seems to emerge from it as a momentary manifestation; overall the painting works on a subtle balance between appearance and rootedness, between everyday gesture and primordial dimension.

«My painting arises from the desire to give form to what moves behind the portrayed image. I believe that art is also a bridge between the memory of tradition and the necessity of the present: for this reason I try to paint with dialoguing references, questioning the present.»
