Parker Duofold Centennial fountain pen with a gold‑plated metal body and cap, black resin section, 18k solid gold nib, made in the United States, dating from the mid‑20th century, 13.6 cm long and 1.3 cm in diameter, in one piece and in working order.
Description from the seller
A0000003689
The fountain pen is presented in very good condition, maintaining an elegant and well-cared-for aesthetic presence, typical of a piece from Parker Duofold Centennial's prestigious line. Its body and cap, made of metal with a gold-plated finish and vertical striated Godron decoration, retain a warm, even shine that highlights the sophistication of the design.
The metal surfaces keep a good definition of the striated pattern, with only slight micro-scratches from superficial use, compatible with careful use over time. These small marks are discreet and do not affect the overall aesthetics of the piece or its visual appeal at all.
The classic Parker clip in the shape of an arrow is well aligned and in good condition, preserving its functionality and finish. The upper medallion of the cap with the inscription “Parker Duofold” remains clearly legible and well defined.
The black resin section is polished to a clean, bright appearance, without cracks or deformations, offering an elegant contrast to the gold finish of the body.
The original Parker nib, solid 18-karat gold (750), is in very good structural condition, with the tines correctly aligned and no visible deformations. The nib engraving remains crisp and the feeder is correctly adjusted.
The pen has been serviced and tested, guaranteeing proper operation of the writing system and the filling system via cartridge or Parker converter.
Overall, it is a fountain pen that retains an excellent aesthetic and functional presence, with light wear consistent with its nature as a high-end writing instrument.
Conservation recommendations
To preserve optimal operation and aesthetics of the fountain pen, it is recommended to use high-quality ink specifically for fountain pens and avoid pigmented inks. If not used for an extended period, it is advisable to clean the system with warm water, dry it completely before storing, and keep it in a dry place, protected from direct light and extreme temperatures. Always operate the filling system gently to ensure long-term proper preservation.
It will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
