Description from the seller
Title: Romano Mussolini - Fishing huts - Oil on canvas - 60x80 cm - 1976
Description:
"Splendid and imposing oil on canvas by Master Romano Mussolini, dated 1976. The work portrays one of the artist's dearest subjects: fishing huts, immersed in a timeless atmosphere rendered with a warm, earthy color palette. Mussolini's mastery emerges in the contrast between the vertical lines of the stilt houses and the fluidity of the water, typical of his post-impressionist style.
What makes this lot exceptional is the incredible documentary material preserved on the back: the painting is accompanied by the guarantee certificate from IDIA of Turin and by the certification from Studio d'Arte of Milan. Furthermore, the back features newspaper clippings from the era that attest to the artist's exhibition path, making the piece a part of the history of Italian art collecting in the 1970s.
Generous dimensions (60x80 cm), perfect to become the focal point of an elegant room. The work is presented with a coeval golden frame that enhances its luminosity."}
