Marco Corridoni presents FIXED Fontana - no. 15 / 100, a 2026 unique original mixed-media work on canvas (50 x 70 cm) from Italy, signed by hand with a photographic certificate included.
Description from the seller
FIXED Fontana - no. 15 /100 (2026)
idropittura on canvas, leather, metal
50x70cm
UNIQUE and ORIGINAL WORK
Work number 15 from a numbered series of only 100 copies.
Special edition of the series "Fixed Fontana".
The artist draws inspiration from Lucio Fontana's spatial concepts to rewrite the history of art, through a manipulation of his artistic poetics, suspended between quotation and desecration.
The cuts are sewn back together, in a symbolic way, to shorten space rather than "open" it.
Expectations are subverted, almost as a sign of protest against a way of making and selling art that has little or nothing to do with originality and the essence of art itself.
The canvases are prepared in Fontana's style and the cuts, strictly made by hand by the artist, mirror those of his most famous works.
Each cut is secured with a black canvas on the back, just as documented by Lucio Fontana: this gives stability to the piece and an exquisite aesthetic effect.
Work signed on the back
Photographic certification included
Frame available separately.
