Description from the seller
Beautiful painting by the painter Aldo Mazzi.
Aldo Mazzi was born in Livorno in 1937, where he still lives and works today in his studios in "Casini d’Ardenza".
A self-taught painter, he reconnects with the Livorno-originating Macchiaiola and Post-Macchiaiola traditions.
He has always been nicknamed "Cucciolo".
He has exhibited widely in various Italian regions and recently, on several occasions, also in the USA (San Diego), where he has achieved considerable success.
The painting depicts a view of the Scolmatore dell’Arno, which empties into the north of Livorno near Pisa. Very beautiful and distinctive.
A little amusing curiosity... Mazzi used to paint on any piece of wood he could salvage. It comes from my private collection and measures, unframed, 25x46.
