Anton Heyboer, Danseres, original aquarelle from 1980–1990, edition Origineel, 53 × 43 cm, colours yellow, blue and red, signed, with frame.
Description from the seller
Due to his unconventional lifestyle, Anton Heyboer was among the most eccentric Dutch artists of the past decades.
His turbulent lifestyle manifested in five marriages.
He also described himself as 'the Robin Hood of the art world', referring to his prolific output.
Heyboer was trained as a mechanical engineer.
After World War II he began drawing, albeit still in a traditional style.
Between 1954 and 1957 he developed his own philosophical framework on the basis of which his abstract artworks emerged.
Yet figurative elements always remain present in his paintings and etchings.
He also clarified the themes of his work with texts, in which human relationships often play a role.
Dimensions: 37 x 28 cm
Dimensions with frame: 53 x 57 cm
Provenance: Purchased at Anton Heyboer's studio
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. We also work with restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, please let us know."
